The new-gen Tata Sierra is one of the most awaited cars from the brand in recent years and is likely to take on the Hyundai Creta strongly when it hits the market around the end of this year. The new Tata SUV will come between the Nexon and Harrier, and it will have some new features and technology—some will be first time for Tata, and some will be new for this whole category of cars. New Tata Sierra Comes in Two Exciting Variants
The new Tata Sierra will come in both fully electric and petrol or diesel (ICE) versions. The electric version will launch first, and the petrol or diesel one is expected to come out a few weeks after that. Both versions will have a similar square-shaped design, but the electric model will look a bit sleeker and more smooth to help with airflow.
Tata Sierra Comes with Tough AWD Capability
Tata Motors is likely to give the Sierra.ev an option for all-wheel drive (AWD), similar to the Tata Harrier electric. This will be aimed at people who like to explore rough and tough roads. The AWD version will probably have one main motor at the front and another motor at the back. The rear motor will likely work only when extra power or better grip is needed, helping to save energy and keep things efficient.

Packed with the Segment’s Strongest Engine
Tata Motors will bring a completely new petrol engine in the upcoming Sierra. This engine will be a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with direct injection, giving 168 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 3,500 rpm. These power figures are something new and not seen before in this kind of car in India.
Cool Three-Screen Layout Like the Mahindra XEV 9e-6
The new Tata Sierra will be the first car in its category to come with three screens on the dashboard. It will even have a special touchscreen just for the front passenger. The passenger screen might let the person in front watch videos, play games, and control different entertainment options, like setting the GPS, for example.
Comes with a Luxurious Lounge Version
Tata Motors will also launch a lounge version of the new-gen Sierra, which will have a unique four-seat arrangement, something never seen before in this segment. This special seating option will have two normal seats in the front and two bigger seats at the back set a bit further behind, giving more space for the legs. The rear seats in this version will be more comfortable and come with extendable calf support. This model is mainly meant for people who travel with a driver.
