Ola Roadster X+ 4.5 kWh Variant Delivery Starts — You Won’t Believe the Price & Range

The Ola Roadster X+ with a 4.5 kWh battery can reach a maximum speed of 125 kmph. It takes about 5.9 hours to charge the battery from zero to eighty percent.

A few weeks after the initial batch of Ola’s Roadster X series started getting delivered to buyers, Now, the company has started delivering the 4.5 kWh version as well. The price for this model is Rs. 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). This variant is now being offered all over India. Earlier, the company had introduced a special offer of Rs. 10,000 for the first 5,000 customers to attract more buyers.

The Roadster X series comes in five different versions, beginning with the 2.5 kWh base model that costs Rs. 99,999. Sitting above the base model, the 3.5 kWh variant is priced at Rs. 1,09,999, and the 4.5 kWh version costs Rs. 1,24,999. The Plus version of the 4.5 kWh is priced Rs. 5,000 higher than that. At the highest end of the lineup, the Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh model comes equipped with Ola’s latest 4680 Bharat Cell battery.

This model offers a claimed range of 501 km on a full battery and is priced at Rs. 1,99,999. All the prices mentioned here are ex-showroom rates. The Roadster X series comes with a motor mounted in the middle, using a chain drive, and it works together with an integrated MCU that manages the torque distribution. This setup is made to improve both the bike’s acceleration and its energy efficiency.

Interestingly, unlike most motorcycles, this model uses flat-style wiring looms in its design. Ola says that using this method helps in cutting down heat buildup, making the bike lighter overall, and better managing the space inside. It also comes with a brake-by-wire system protected by a patent, paired with single-channel ABS. The battery pack has an IP67 rating, which means it’s protected against water and dust. Inside, it has a better wire bonding design.

Ola also mentions that the Battery Management System is made so users can service it themselves, helping to keep long-term maintenance simpler. MoveOS 5 brings useful software updates, including features like reverse assist and the option to choose different regen modes. It also adds cruise assist, and these improvements come to all models since they share the same electronic platform.
