In June 2025, Hyundai recorded a total of 60,924 units, out of which 44,024 units were sold within India, and 16,900 units were exported. Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) completed the first quarter of FY2026 by selling a total of 1,80,399 units in both domestic and international markets. Out of this, exports made up 48,140 units, which is a 13 percent increase compared to the 42,600 units exported in the same quarter last year. This shows that locally-made cars are becoming more popular in international markets.
The share of exports in the total quarterly sales has increased from 22.2 percent to 26.7 percent compared to the same period last year. The upcoming start of production at the Talegaon plant is likely to slowly boost efficiency in supply and help with better distribution. Hyundai’s new generation Venue has been tested on roads for many months now, both in India and abroad. Lately, there have been more and more sightings, which means the compact SUV is likely in the last stage of checks before its launch.
The launch of the car is expected to happen around the upcoming festive season. Hyundai has recently announced a big increase in the number of new models it plans to launch. Out of the 26 vehicles Hyundai aims to introduce by the end of FY30, a large part will be dedicated to electric vehicles. The Korean company plans to electrify some of its current models like the Grand i10 Nios and Venue too.
There is also a new compact electric crossover, known internally as HE1i, which is reportedly being developed for release in 2026. Designed to be smaller and more affordable than the Creta EV, this model might share many features with the global Inster. Additionally, Hyundai has the Bayon-based compact SUV and hybrid models lined up, ready to be launched soon.
