After sharing the official photos online, Kia India is now ready to reveal the prices of the Carens Clavis EV tomorrow. Pre-bookings are also likely to start soon. The EV version is built on the newly updated Carens Clavis ICE model. The electric model keeps many of the familiar design elements from the ICE version but also includes some unique touches made especially for the EV.

At the front, the Kia Carens Clavis EV features a light bar that runs across the entire face of the car, with a set of triple-pod LED headlights on each side. There is also a charging flap located right at the front of the car. Other features include fog lamps situated just above the skid plate, along with a fresh design of dual-tone alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the layout follows Kia’s latest design style, showcasing a two-spoke steering wheel, with two digital screens—one for the instrument cluster and another for the infotainment system—and a raised center console, roof-mounted AC vents for the backseat passengers, soft ambient lighting, and a wireless charging pad. The car will also come equipped with Kia’s Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) system, which lets it supply power to outside electrical gadgets.

Inside the Clavis EV, a seven-seat arrangement will come as standard, though a six-seat option is also likely to be offered. Once launched, it will be India’s first midsize electric MPV, with prices expected to begin at about Rs. 15 lakh (ex-showroom). This zero-emission vehicle is likely to feature Kia’s i-Pedal regenerative braking system, which allows drivers to control the car using just one pedal.

Even though Kia hasn’t shared the details about the electric motor or battery capacity so far, they have confirmed an IDC-rated driving range of up to 490 km on a single charge. The exact powertrain details haven’t been revealed yet, but it’s expected to use battery options similar to the Hyundai Creta Electric — probably the 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh packs.

Kia plans to expand its electric vehicle lineup in India, with the Syros EV expected to launch around 2026. Targeting buyers on a budget, this compact SUV will compete directly with models like the Tata Punch EV. Though the official specs haven’t been announced yet, the Syros EV is likely to be positioned below the Seltos in Kia’s lineup.
