Mahindra & Mahindra will start sending out the Pack Two variants of the BE 6 and XEV 9e born electric SUVs from the end of July 2025. In this phase, a second battery option is being added, with a bigger 79 kWh pack joining the already available 59 kWh unit. The updated range now begins at Rs 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom), while the bigger battery version comes with a starting price of Rs 23.50 lakh.

Buyers should keep in mind that charger installation isn’t included in the vehicle price, and the 7.2 kW and 11.2 kW chargers are available as separate options. For city driving, the 79 kWh version is said to offer a range of up to 500 km, whereas the 59 kWh model still manages around 400 km under typical real-world use. Customers who are already waiting for their deliveries have the option to change their bookings and go for the new long-range version if they wish.

Both battery options come well-equipped, including important features such as Level 2 ADAS. They also include a panoramic glass roof and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos. The BE 6 features premium sage leatherette seats and an ivory-colored roof liner, which are taken from the Pack Three variant. At the same time, the XEV 9e keeps its three-screen setup along with a stylish and modern dashboard design.

The 59 kWh version is powered by a 170 kW motor, whereas the bigger 79 kWh battery comes paired with a stronger 210 kW motor. Both variants offer fast charging support — the smaller battery works with a 140 kW DC charger, while the larger one can charge from 20 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC charger. The car has different driving modes, like Boost Mode if you want a bit more power. It also uses regenerative braking that adjusts depending on how you drive, which helps you control the car better and saves energy. There’s also an Auto mode and a simple one-pedal driving feature that makes things easier and more comfortable when you’re behind the wheel.

The steering system has electric power assist and changes the gear ratio to help with control and make turning easier in tight spaces, like within 10 metres. The suspension uses iLink in the front and a 5-link setup in the back. It also has MTV-CL dampers and special damping that adjusts based on the road, making the ride smoother on different surfaces. The low rolling resistance tyres are designed to cut down noise and vibrations, working together with NVH dampening throughout the cabin for a quieter ride. Extra features like Adaptive Cruise Control and SonicSuite, which adds virtual engine sounds, complete the impressive list of equipment.
