Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara Spotted in Black Just Before Launch

Maruti Suzuki will launch the e-Vitara in India in September 2025. It will be available with two battery options. Maruti Suzuki has reportedly reduced the production targets for the e-Vitara because of supply chain problems. The main problem seems to be the difficulty in getting rare earth materials, which are very important for electric vehicle parts like traction motor magnets. Due to these supply issues, Maruti Suzuki has had to change its original production plans much before the official launch of the vehicle.

Even with these problems, Maruti Suzuki hasn’t changed the launch schedule for the e-Vitara. The fully electric SUV is still planned to hit the market by September 2025 and will be available at Nexa showrooms. According to reports, the company is hoping to quickly increase production from October 2025 to March 2026 to reach its yearly target of 67,000 units.
