JSW MG Motor is getting ready to launch the M9 in India, and they’re planning to sell it along with the soon-to-arrive Cyberster electric sports car through their premium MG Select showrooms. Pre-bookings for the M9 have already started on the official website as well as at authorised dealerships, with a booking amount of ₹51,000.

We recently had the chance to drive this luxury electric MPV, and you can check out our initial driving experience along with the range test results. The M9, which made its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year, features a roomy cabin with an extended second row to give passengers more comfort. MG plans to launch the model in three different exterior shades: Cardiff Black, Luminous White, and Mystic Grey.

After its launch, the M9 will compete with the fourth-generation Kia Carnival, which has been in the Indian market for some time, as well as the Toyota Vellfire. But to be honest, since it is an electric vehicle, the M9 doesn’t really have any direct rivals in the market. The M9 comes packed with features like 16-way adjustable seats that offer eight different massage modes, along with heating and ventilation options.

It also includes a panoramic sunroof, a 64-colour ambient lighting system, and a 12-speaker sound setup as part of its features. Customers can choose between two interior upholstery options: pure black and cognac brown. When it arrives, it will be one of the longest MPVs, measuring 5,270 mm in length with a wheelbase of 3,200 mm. Its width and height are 2,000 mm and 1,840 mm, respectively.
