Tata Sierra and the updated Mahindra XUV700 Facelift are now offering triple-screen dashboards to attract tech-loving SUV customers in India.
Indian automakers Tata and Mahindra are now looking to include triple-screen dashboards in their new upcoming cars. This kind of design is expected to attract younger customers who are into the latest tech. These days, large central touchscreens and digital driver displays are quite common, now even dedicated screens for front passengers are beginning to appear in modern car cabins. In India, we can expect at least two new models with this kind of setup to arrive by next year: the upcoming Tata Sierra and the facelifted version of the Mahindra XUV700.
Tata Sierra Makes a Comeback with a Fresh, Modern Interior!
After being absent from the market for two decades, the Tata Sierra — known as India’s first SUV — is all set to make a comeback in showrooms. The new version of the Sierra will be positioned size-wise between the Tata Nexon and the Tata Harrier. It will go up against well-known SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and Renault Duster. The Sierra will keep its unique boxy shape and design elements inspired by the original model, making it stand apart from others. The technology inside the Sierra will also play an important role in attracting buyers.

Latest spy pictures reveal that the Tata Sierra will come with three individual screens on its dashboard. This arrangement features a digital driver display, a central touchscreen for music and controls, and an extra touchscreen dedicated solely to the front passenger. The screens are positioned with noticeable gaps in between, giving the cabin a fresh, modern, and spacious look.

The passenger’s screen in the Tata Sierra is likely to handle multiple functions. It is expected that the front passenger will be able to assist the driver by managing navigation or choosing music and other media on that screen. Passengers may also have the option to watch videos, TV shows, or movies during the journey. There will be a special film on this screen to prevent it from distracting the driver, ensuring safety stays a top priority.
Tata Motors has announced that the new Sierra is expected to launch between October this year and March next year. Although the exact date is not confirmed yet, most people are expecting the launch to happen in late 2025. The company is planning to provide the Tata Sierra with both traditional engine choices and electric versions.
Mahindra XUV700 Facelift Brings a Cool New Digital Experience!

Earlier this year, Mahindra introduced a triple-screen setup in its XEV 9e model. Now, spy shots indicate that the company is preparing to add this advanced design to the facelifted Mahindra XUV700, expected to launch sometime next year. The refreshed XUV700 is likely to feature three 12.3-inch screens: one serving as the digital instrument cluster, another as the central touchscreen, and the third dedicated to the passenger.
The passenger screen in the updated Mahindra XUV700 facelift is expected to come with a variety of entertainment and useful features. Passengers may be able to enjoy games, stream videos, watch TV shows and movies, make video calls, and even use the navigation system on the passenger screen. The updated XUV700 is expected to launch sometime in 2026.

How Car Interiors in India Are Getting a Major Makeover
Tata and Mahindra’s choice to go for triple-screen setups highlights a noticeable shift in the way car interiors are designed nowadays. Such advanced screen arrangements, once mostly found in costly foreign cars, are now making their way into more regular vehicles. This shows that today’s car buyers are looking for more technology and digital features in their vehicles. In the Tata Sierra and Mahindra XUV700 facelift, these multiple screens serve more than just aesthetic purposes.
